A Taste of Traditional Peruvian Cuisine on 24th Street: Roosters Peruvian Rotisserie Brings Authentic Flavors to the District

Dennis Aragon, along with his partner Joel Romero, is the co-owner of Roosters Peruvian Rotisserie, a new Peruvian restaurant that opened in September in the corridor. Their vision was to create a dining experience that celebrates the rich, bold flavors of traditional Peruvian cuisine, transporting diners to Peru with every bite.

With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Dennis has held various roles, honing his expertise in the field. His entrepreneurial journey began with the opening of Mona’s Burger in Concord, followed by a second location in Walnut Creek. He also ran Mona’s Bar and Grill, which, unfortunately, closed during the pandemic.

This year, Dennis and Joel fulfilled a long-held dream of opening a restaurant in the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District—the very place Dennis first arrived many years ago. Initially envisioned as a Peruvian rotisserie, they dedicated months to perfecting a recipe that captured the essence of authentic Peruvian flavors. Just before opening, they expanded their menu to include beloved Peruvian classics like Lomo Saltado, Chaufa, and Ceviche de Pescado, offering a true taste of Peru in every dish.

Roosters Peruvian Rotisserie is a true testament to Dennis and Joel’s passion for sharing their Peruvian heritage and culinary expertise with the corridor.

Calle 24 Latino Cultural District invites you to experience the rich flavors of Peru at  Roosters Peruvian Rotisserie. Visit their 24th Street location and join them on their culinary journey. Your support is invaluable to the local businesses in the Calle 24 corridor!
