About the event
BVHM is San Francisco's first Spanish-language immersion school, and the only public school in the nation to host a shelter on-site. We are an arts school focused on building social justice leaders.
On Saturday, April 26, 12-5 p.m., we're hosting our first-ever street festival on Valencia Street between 23rd and 24th. It will be a celebration of our school and community, with a live salsa group, the BVHM mariachi band with special guests, and a performance by Cuicacalli, led by our dance teacher; a Kids' Zone with giant bubbles, an obstacle course, and a mural project led by our arts enrichment coordinator; food, drinks, dancing; and a ticketed lucha libre event.
